Tropical Storm Chantal has been downgraded to a tropical depression but is raising concerns of flash flooding in central North Carolina and south-central Virginia.

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Chantal made landfall in the Carolinas on Sunday morning, producing heavy rainfall and flash flooding threats along the Eastern seaboard. Since then, it has made its way inland, continuing to bring heavy rains and flash flooding to the Mid-Atlantic states, as well as rough surf and rip current risks to the East Coast.
