Dylan Guenther scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with just under six minutes remaining in the third period and Utah beat the Vancouver Canucks 2-1.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Dylan Guenther scored the tiebreaking goal with 5:53 left in regulation, and the Utah Hockey Club defeated the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 at Delta Center on Sunday. Guenther scored on the power play by tipping in a backdoor pass from Nick Schmaltz at the left post.

In January, a 15-year-old boy was rescued from a southern Utah trail, but left his backpack behind. Weeks later, a father and son found that backpack and used it to survive.

The Utah Hockey Club placed defenseman Juuso Valimaki on waivers Sunday. Valimaki, 26, was in his third season with the Arizona/Utah franchise when he played a combined 189 games. Utah recently added defensemen John Marino and Sean Durzi back into the lineup following long-term injury absences,
