MSNBC's Rev. Al Sharpton urges Andrew Cuomo to withdraw from New York City mayoral race, suggesting a one-on-one contest would better serve residents.

The Rev. Al Sharpton says Andrew Cuomo should drop out of the race for New York City mayor.During an interview on MSNBC on Wednesday morning, Sharpton said Cuomo "should look at what is best for the city" and step aside so that Queens Assemblyman and Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani can take on incumbent Eric Adams,

Cuomo has secured an independent party line, Fight and Deliver, on which he could run in November. Whether he actively pursues a campaign or not, his name will be on the ballot.
