Kirsten Storms is opening up about what it was like to be temporarily replaced in her long-running “General Hospital” role. Storms, who has played Maxie on the historic soap opera since May 2005, was recently replaced temporarily by Nicole Paggi due to scheduling conflicts.

Earlier this month, a GH spokesperson confirmed that Paggi will temporarily replace Storms on the long-running series. Paggi will appear as Maxie on the show’s July 30 and August 13 episodes. Storms, for her part, will return during the week of August 18.

Along with her 11-year-old daughter Harper, Storms is moving to Tennessee, which makes starring in General Hospital (the show shoots in Los Angeles) a bit complicated, the Zenon alum said. So, hoping to keep her spot on the beloved ABC soap opera amid the move, she spoke to executive producer Frank Valentini in March.
