According to the Austin American Statesman, Texas A&M will be paying $3.705 million to their non-conference opponents they’ll welcome to field. Samford will be paid the least, a total of $550,000 for their visit to Kyle Field on Saturday. UTSA was paid $1.5 million, and Utah State was paid $1.65 million for their game.

Friday, A&M announced a new six-year contract for Alberts, following approval from the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents hours earlier. The Regents also approved Elko’s new deal, which was announced after the Aggies’ win over South Carolina on Saturday.
Not only did Texas lose at Georgia, but the manner of the 35-10 defeat offered little confidence in the Longhorns' playoff chances as a three-loss team. The offensive momentum they showed in wins over Mississippi State and Vanderbilt vanished against a more athletic defense.
