There’s no new episode of “Saturday Night Live” on tonight, Saturday, Sept. 13. Season 51 of “SNL” premieres on Saturday, Oct. 4. The host and musical guest for the premiere have not been announced yet, although some fans have speculated that Taylor Swift might appear on the season premiere.
All will be confirmed on NBC Insider before new episodes premiere on October 4. For now, there's still plenty of time to get to know newbies Jeremy Culhane, Veronika Slowikowska, Tommy Brennan, Kam Patterson, and not-as-new cast addition Ben Marshall.
The SNL stars not returning for Season 51 include Heidi Gardner (after eight seasons), Michal Longfellow (after three seasons), Devon Walker (after three seasons), Emil Wakim (after one season), and John Higgins, who was part of the Please Don’t Destroy troupe that joined the late-night show in 2021.

After a blockbuster 50th season of "Saturday Night Live," five new cast members will join the sketch series, which comes on the heels of several departures.
