General Hospital just proved that daytime royalty doesn’t retire. The beloved ABC soap opera was named Outstanding Daytime Drama Series at the 2025 Daytime Emmys, snagging the night’s top honor during the 52nd annual ceremony on Friday, October 17. Also nominated in the category were Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.

Gold, Silver and Bronze always make a statement on the red carpet and the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards was no exception.

General Hospital dominated the major soap categories, winning Outstanding Drama, Writing Team, Directing Team, Costume Design and three acting awards.
