The Buffalo Bills signed a "core" player to a three-year, $7.5 million extension on Friday morning, ahead of free agency.

The 30-year-old safety is signing a three-year contract extension with Buffalo worth up to $7.5 million, according to a report from ESPN (via Bills Wire ). The veteran safety is a special teams ace, totaling 13 tackles in the kicking game last fall.

Players gave the Bills high marks in most categories, including A-grades for coaches and ownership, but the home game field received a failing grade.

The Bills' kicker, along with two crucial defensive players, are all expected to return to action this offseason.
