Storm Kingston swept across the U.S. from the Midwest into the South and mid-Atlantic, bringing snow, ice and dangerous road conditions to cities including Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas City and Roanoke, Virginia.

From fender benders to cars getting pulled out of ditches, Wednesday was busy for tow truck drivers, police and paramedics in Central Virginia as a winter storm made travel tricky.

With more winter weather moving into Central Virginia, there have been 53 crashes reported statewide, and Virginia State Police (VSP) is urging drivers to stay off the roads.

Dozens of Virginia National Guard soldiers and airmen are stationed across Virginia to assist as winter weather moves through the Commonwealth.
