Former Texas head coach Tom Herman fired by FAU with two games left in season
Herman was touted as a big win for FAU two years ago. He went 22-4 in his first two seasons as head coach at Houston before going 32-18 in four seasons at Texas. Herman also posted a 5-0 record in bowl games at both schools and never had a losing season.
FAU reportedly makes decision on Tom Herman's future
Herman has reportedly been fired as the head football coach by Florida Atlantic. The 49-year-old had gone 6-16 in two seasons as the Owls’ head coach. The news of Herman’s firing comes just days after FAU lost 18-15 in overtime to 3-7 Temple to fall to 2-8. The Owls are also 0-6 in conference play this season.
