After weeks of deliberation, the Senate passed its version of the Trump tax bill on Tuesday. In the approved package, there are several major changes to Medicaid, which would lead to deeper spending cuts than the version passed by the House.

Reps. Jen Kiggans and Rob Wittman have both expressed concern over how much further the Senate version of the reconciliation bill goes in cutting Medicaid than the House version they both backed.

The bill would cut $1.1 trillion in health-care spending and result in 11.8 million people losing health coverage over the next decade, according to estimates.
